Recently introduced to our exquisite villa collection is "Sunny Surf" E301 at Makena Surf, a sophisticated executive-style 3 bedroom (King, California King, and Two Twins or a 3rd King!), 3 full bath resort residence that sleeps six guests in a prime top floor corner "penthouse" location.

From E301 there is a huge vista of turquoise waters, powder blue skies, scarlet sunsets, and cotton candy white clouds that dance over the open ocean and golden beach below.

Overall, in contrast to other nearby resorts, Makena Surf is a tranquil oasis of tropical seclusion that offers resort living in a low-density, low-rise, and less crowded ambiance. Within Makena Surf are free tennis courts, free self-parking for up to 2 cars, two heated swimming pools one of which is an over-sized lap pool near E301, two hot tubs, roving on-site security staff, and emerald green gardens with pastel blooming tropical flowers.

Back at E301 Sunny Surf, you may enjoy a spectacular panoramic ocean and beachfront vista from two different spacious outdoor verandas. One of the outdoor verandas also looks over the large lap pool. Sandy Surf is truly a beach front paradise. Set on the top floor, the outdoor dining and living terrace opens up to expansive blue skies - no roof blocking your panoramic ocean, sunset and moonset views!

This privately owned, uniquely decorated, and professionally managed top floor corner villa has an open great room that was just re-decorated in a comfortable modern style that blends elegant Asian lacquered antiques with light colored decor that reflects the sand and surf outdoors. There is no dated decor here!

At Sunny Surf you have use of the complimentary high speed wireless or wired internet service, exceptionally well-equipped kitchen with all brand new appliances (as of October 2010), an in-villa Weber gas BBQ grill, an in-villa washer/dryer, safe, and a full complement of household supplies. There is a work counter that is stocked with office supplies and a multi-function office machine that prints, scans, and faxes. There is indoor and outdoor dining for six to eight guests.

Sunny Surf features exceptional furnishings and appointments commensurate with an upscale resort villa. The amenities and decor of E301 are superior to those of other owner-managed or generic rental-pool villas. We recently upgraded the electronics. Just added to the great room is a brand new 55 inch Samsung LED 1080p HD LCD flat panel television with HD Blu-Ray CD/DVD player, an unlimited Netflix account to download movies and television programs, an HD DVR digital cable box with HD programs, an iPod dock and 5.1 surround sound speaker system. Save your favorite shows on the HD DVR while at the beach! The two master bedrooms both have flat panel televisions with HD Blu-Ray CD/DVD player, HD digital cable box with HD programs, iPod Alarm Clock Radios, and a personal safe for a worry-free vacation. The third bedroom has a flat panel television, digital cable box, iPod alarm clock radio, portable phone and a PS3 game console.

The entire villa has just been refreshed with plenty of new inventory. Each bedroom has a brand new pillow top plush mattress along with an array of extra pillows in various styles and materials, a down duvet, cotton and acrylic blankets, plush all-cotton mattress pads, and high thread-count cotton bedding. The bathrooms are loaded with thick soft cotton towels, hair dryer, make-up mirror, cotton bathrobes, and a bath scale. Tropical theme toiletries are offered in 8 ounce size bottles - an eco-friendly gesture. The gourmet kitchen is supremely well equipped with a very generous array of better quality cooking and dining supplies including an espresso machine. Other useful amenities that we provide are beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and beach coolers.

The Makena area is a historic and fairly rural region on the island of Maui. Remnants of old villages can be found in the rubble of lava covered shores, and hiking trails lead the way to remote and pristine snorkeling sites. The coastline south of Makena Surf is host to many small coves from which more adventurous visitors can launch a kayak or a scuba diving expedition (weather and surf conditions permitting). Venture out amongst schools of brightly colored reef fish, or if you are lucky spot a sea turtle, dolphin, or humpback whale (winter season). We are particularly fond of the walking and jogging courses available in the Wailea and Makena area. From Makena Surf you can head in either direction to exercise along Wailea's oceanfront paved promenade, or follow the ancient Pi'ilani road towards La Perouse Bay for stunning scenery on lightly traveled roads.

In addition to the long and broad sandy beach in front of Makena Surf, there are more than a dozen other sandy coves and beaches nearby. The famous "Big" and "Little" beaches are located within a few minutes drive. Also nearby are Polo Beach, Wailea Beach, Elua Beach, and the lovely postcard-perfect beaches of Kihei, such as Keawakapu, Kamaole II, Kamaole III, and Charley Young Beaches. All beaches on Maui are open to the public and they all offer public access with free parking. Most also offer restrooms, showers, and picnic facilities.

An abundance of enjoyable ocean and outdoor sports can be experienced in the area canoe paddling, paddle boarding, boogie boarding, skim boarding, outrigger canoe sailing, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, and horseback riding.

Housekeeping Services Provided We include mid-week housekeeping service for every 7 nights rented at advertised prices, except for select off-season periods. Housekeeping is not scheduled on National Holidays. Our villas are extremely well stocked with an abundant supply of towels, blankets, extra bed linens, paper products, and various cleaning and soap products. There is plenty of inventory to suffice for several days. Within your private villa there is a laundry room with a washer and dryer, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, and 2 irons and ironing boards. Personal laundry, kitchen cleaning, and grill cleaning is not performed during this service. During the Christmas and New Years holiday period, DAILY housekeeping is provided, with the exception that there is no housekeeping service on Christmas Day December 25 and on New Years Day January 1.
Extra Housekeeping Cost Additional a la carte housekeeping service is $40 per hour per housekeeper plus 4.166% GE tax with a 3 hour minimum. Advance notice is requested. Subject to availability.

Beach & Ocean Access Makena Surf is situated on the ocean between a sandy cove and a broad and long golden sand swimming beach that faces the setting sun. The beach is easily accessible from Sunny Surf. At the beach you can snorkel, swim, scuba dive, kayak and sometimes boogie board or surf (when the waves are up)! Beach towels, chairs, coolers, and umbrellas are provided complimentary at the villa for you.
Pool There are two heated swimming pools, both gated, and two hot tubs on property, all of which are reserved for the private use of Makena Surf guests. The pools are fenced, however they are not staffed with a lifeguard - use at your own risk. Outdoor Spa There are two open-air star-lit free-form whirlpool hot tubs within the lushly landscaped grounds.
Air Conditioning All rooms have central air conditioning and ceiling fans. BBQ Sunny Surf has its own deluxe propane BBQ grill set outdoors on the spacious private oceanfront terrace
Entertainment The two master bedrooms are equipped with an HD digital cable box with HD programs and Netflix account. The third bedroom has a digital cable box.The great room has an HD DVR cable box that will also record your favorite programs while you are at the beach. VILLA SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES

This property does not have elevators and E301 is on the top 3rd floor. However, the initial access is actually approx. 1/2 flight up from the ground level, so in total, walking up to the 3rd floor is really no further of a climb than if living in a 2 story residential home.

Complimentary parking is available for up to 2 cars only. Additional cars are not allowed within the gated resort.

Please note that there are 6 cats that roam the grounds of the expansive Makena Surf Resort. The homeowner's association keeps them on property with the knowledge that they provide a practical form of pest control. The cats are friendly but should never be allowed inside. Please do not pet or feed the cats. Thank you for your "kokua" or cooperation.

Standard Amenities
Most villas typically will be stocked with a barbeque grill, answering machine, alarm clocks, phone, television, video cassette recorder and/or DVD, CD stereo, washer & dryer, iron & board, coffee maker & grinder, microwave, blender, toaster oven, dishwasher, oven, range, ceiling fans, hair dryer, spices & herbs, paper & pen, kitchen supplies such as cookware, glassware, silverware, outdoor furnishings, starter supply of soap, paper, cleaning products and utensils, and dining, bed and bath linens. Usually some beach chairs and towels are provided. Guests often misplace beach towels and chairs therefore an exact inventory is not guaranteed unless reserving a luxury class home. Some homes also provide iPod docks, high speed internet access, wireless networks, fax machine, espresso/cappuccino machine, exercise equipment and other upscale toys. Please inquire if a specific amenity will improve your comfort or convenience.
Amenities Not Included
Provide your own toiletries, slippers, and wrap, however Private Paradise Villas does stock in its managed homes bathrobes and custom toiletries. Recreational equipment, if found on the property is incidental, and is not a guaranteed feature of the house inventory. Boogie Boards, Snorkel Sets, Surf Boards, Kayaks, Bicycles, and other sports equipment can be rented in advance through third party providers. Please inquire with our Concierge for reservations.
Rates Include
Direct local phone, parking (except at condominiums or hotels), Concierge assistance, optional greeting upon arrival, occupancy up to the maximum number of persons allowed, weekly pool/spa service, weekly gardening, post-departure cleaning if not charged separately, extra person fees and housekeeping services as noted up to the stated maximum amount.
Rates Do Not Include
In Hawaii, homes are provided on an a-la-carte basis and most incidental personal services are not included in the rates quoted. Not included are long distance phone (unless a property offers a fixed price monthly unlimited long distance calling plan, security/damage/incidentals/activity deposit, extra guest-requested pool, spa service or yard cleaning, personal laundry, extra housekeeping other than noted, Hawaii State General Excise Tax 4.166%, Hawaii State Transient Accommodations Tax 9.25%, food or beverages, CSA Vacation Rental Insurance, lei greeting, airport greeting, transfers, transportation, auto rental, rental bedding, child care supplies, child proofing services, sightseeing, tours, activities, baggage handling at airport or at villa, sports and water recreation supplies, replenishment of paper & soap products other than initial supply, and any other items or services not specifically listed as included.
Standard Policies
Respect the stated maximum occupancy allowed please! This is very important, as all private homes in our collection are the valuable and beloved second homes of individual private owners. The availability and future right to enjoy our multi-million dollar vacation homes is conditioned upon each guest respecting the owner's pre-disclosed specific terms and conditions. Remove your shoes upon entering your home, as Hawaii's volcanic soil can stain carpets, tile, and fabrics. Step outside to smoke please. No pets on property. Rinse off sand and sun lotions before walking on interior floors sitting on furniture. Sun products will stain upholstery and linens and may damage furnishings. Weddings, receptions, and gatherings are strictly prohibited on any of our properties, due to residential zoning codes which discourage non-residential use, boisterous use causing noise complaints, excessive occupancy causing parking problems in the neighborhood, or any use involving additional non registered guests on the property. Please inquire in advance if you will have other friends or family staying elsewhere on island if you plan to gather at your vacation home as one group. Neighborhood quiet hours are 8pm - 8am.
Cancellation Policy
REFUND & CANCELLATIONS: GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE INITIAL PAYMENT BY GUEST IS NON-REFUNDABLE, UNLESS THE PROPERTY IS DAMAGED BY A CAUSE OTHER THAN GUEST NEGLIGENCE, OR IF THE PROPERTY IS OTHERWISE RENDERED UNFIT FOR HABITATION AND NO ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE PROPERTY CAN BE ARRANGED. IF GUEST CANCELS THIS RESERVATION, A REFUND OF GUEST'S INITIAL PAYMENT MAY BE MADE, LESS A PRE-DISCLOSED CANCELLATION CHARGE, BASED ON THE GROSS RENTAL AMOUNT AND TAXES ORIGINALLY DUE FOR THE RESERVATION, IF THE ACCOMMODATION IS RE-RESERVED BY ANOTHER PARTY FOR THE SAME DATES AND AT THE SAME RATE. GUEST UNDERSTANDS AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT OWNER/AGENT/PROPERTY MANAGER HAS NO OBLIGATION TO RE-RESERVE UPON GUEST'S CANCELLATION, ALTHOUGH REASONABLE EFFORTS MAY BE EXPECTED. LODGING CANCELLATION COVERAGE IS AVAILABLE FROM INDEPENDENT PROVIDERS AND IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THIS RESERVATION MAY BE CANCELLED BY THE OWNER/AGENT/PROPERTY MANAGER, IN THE EVENT THE PROPERTY IS WITHDRAWN FROM A RENTAL PROGRAM AND IN THAT EVENT, THEIR LIABILITY TO THE GUEST IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT OF RENTAL MONIES PAID TO DATE ON THE ACCOUNT, AND SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT COVER THE COST OF AIR TICKETS AND OTHER TRAVEL COSTS.
